League 2 is the bottom division in English League football. Many young players who failed to make the cut at Premiership clubs drop down to this level. Where they try to continue their development and work their way back up the footballing ladder. Luton will be looking for back to back promotions after winning the Conference last season. Bury, Plymouth, Shrewsbury Town and York City will also be looking for a successful season, aiming for the automatic places. League 2 shows just how cut throat English football can be, in 2008 Portsmouth won the F.A cup, now they are amongst the favourites to win League 2 after finishing mid table last year. Cambridge United return to the football league for the 1st time since 2005 and look to stay here for another season. It also looks like a tough season ahead for Accrington Stanley, Exeter City, Morecambe and Wycombe Wanderers, who have a tough job of keeping their heads above water, and in league football.
